Conquering the world with your partner is one of the great unheralded joys of modern gaming.
Two games have kept me going (at times almost literally) this past couple of years. On the Switch, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and on the PC, Satisfactory. Very, very different games. One is a strategy game with a major element of “becoming very attached to compelling characters,” the other is a three dimensional spreadsheet with gorgeous graphics (it’s a factory builder). Satisfactory in particular has given me plenty of blog & YouTube material, and I’m playing a bi-weekly multiplayer game of it with my kids (okay, they’re ~30 now but I will never stop calling them “kids”) as well. Love it.
