Clearly I need to watch Black Bag.
Also I’d love to spend an hour or more chatting with Windy to geek out about the Murderbot TV show. (It was so good! With very few caveats! I even wrote up a blog post about some of the adaptation choices!)
My “reality TV” fave from way back when? Junkyard Wars / Scrapheap Challenge. Weirdly entertaining physical problem-solving with odd and/or vivid personalities. But I just can’t vibe with any of the modern “reality show” offerings, so very not-my-thing.

I’ve now seen all of the Murderbot episodes, and they’re so delightful! I need to catch up on the books, of which I bought the whole set in a HumbleBundle a couple weeks ago.
I also LOOOOOOVED Junkyard Wars!
I did a reread of the first four novellas after finishing the TV show. Having faces to put to names really helps me, even if the characters don’t really entirely line up with their show counterparts. (Ratthi’s less of a cinnamon roll doofus, Gura’s just regular-grade distrusting rather than incendiary levels of “go away already”.) But it’s amazing how much of the book really comes through! I’d forgotten that, oh yeah, Mensa really did use a drilling tool on a hostile SecUnit! Great stuff.
Virtual fistbump! Junkyard Wars rocked!
