Episode 93: Jaunty, Yet Evil

0093 XanacineholidayThis week, dear listeners, we talk about NEW MOVIES! That’s right! It’s XanaCineHoliday! We both spent an entire day in a movie theater so we could talk about movies that are in release right now. A lot of them are good, too!

If you would like to drink along, we recommend either Winehaven Minnesota Grapewinds Port or Yellowtail Sweet Red Roo. (Clearly, we both had a sweet tooth going this week.)

  1. I have GOT to see The Martian at some point; I bought and devoured the book a few weeks ago. I pictured Matt Damon delivering the snarky bits of that book with glee the entire time.

With all the hype going into Spectre’s release, I was wondering how well it would follow Skyfall. Then the movie came out, and… a deafening silence followed. Which tells me most of what I need to know, really. I suppose I’ll get around to it. What is it with the Craig Bond movies? Is it like the old Star Trek “even numbered good, odd numbered bad” deal, or what?

I’m kind of on board with a Feb 20th Xanadu Movie A Thon O Rama Thingie. I haven’t been in a theater since I moved to Hillsboro from downtown Portland back in April. (Yes, this means I missed Fury Road on the big screen, among many other worthy selections. Sigh.)

    1. One of these days, they’ll let Quentin Tarantino make the Bond movie he’s been begging to do. Or he’ll just do his own spy flick and that would be even better.
