Episode 61: Turtles All the Way Down: Part 1

, with special guest:

0061 Meta 1This week, dear listeners, Tonya Wershow joins us for an in-depth discussion about meta movies! We got so deep into our discussion, in fact, that we had to split it into two halves! (We hereby deny implications that we were too drunk to watch the time while recording.)

  1. I enjoyed the heck out of “Last Action Hero” when it came out. Even if they had marketed it properly, though, I’m not sure it would’ve done all that well. It’s a very specific kind of thing they’re doing and it’s not what one would call widely appealing. Points to Arnie for playing the straight-up action-hero part as well as the kind of meta angle very well, though.

R&GAD hit all of us at a particular age in one rather predictable way: We all started playing Questions. This went on for MONTHS. Everyone around us got so very very tired of it, I assure you… 🙂
