Episode 106: Consider Yourself… So Sauced

Musicals that Windy hatesThis week, dear listeners, we bring you an episode about musicals that Windy hates! That’s right, there are several classic musicals that Windy can’t get behind, and we dig into them here! But here at Xanadu Cinema Pleasure Dome, we prefer to love movies and not hate them, so we also bring to you an assortment of great musicals that you can watch instead.

This episode was recorded back in December, which means this is the last of the full-drunk recordings. (Well, for now, anyway.) If you have been pining for the days when we’d drunkcast with wild abandon, this even-numbered episode is for you.

If you would like to drink along, we recommend either Glenlivet 12 or some sort of tempranillo.

Episode 60: All Up in My Limbic System

0060 Off TopicThis week, dear listeners, we bring you our fourth Off Topic extravaganza!

If you are a new listener, here’s what’s going on: our episodes are heavily edited, mostly because we drink while we record. Most of the things we cut out are things nobody will miss, but sometimes we simply go off on an odd tangent. So, we save all the fun clips until we can just make a whole episode out of them. It’s like Voltron with less planning.

The audio bits you are about to here were recorded between November 2014 and February 2015. The audio quality will vary, the subject matter will wander, and our drunkenness… well, you know the drill. You will also hear the sonorous voices of:

Pat Harrigan
Kelvin Hatle
David Justin
Barb Lind
Meghan Murphy
Gordon Smuder
Sharon Stiteler
Noel Thingvall

Please enjoy our fourth Off Topic celebration. More show notes behind the cut!

Episode 51: Gloss Gone Horribly, Horribly Wrong

0051 Bob FosseThis week, dear listeners, bring out your jazz hands, because we talk about BOB FOSSE! Well, mostly Windy talks about Bob Fosse. But that’s alright, because Melissa suggested the topic because she knew she could be lazy for an episode while Windy expounded upon the greatness of Bob Fosse.

If you would like to drink along with us (and you know Fosse would have wanted it that way), we suggest Esprit Barville Cotes du Rhone, which was a lovely red wine. It’s probably not as high octane as what Fosse would be imbibing were he still alive, but it certainly kept us going strong.
