Episode 85: Crotchety Rock

0085 Moving MoviesDear listeners, this week, we bring you our first cross-country recording! Through the wonders of modern technology, this episode was created while Melissa was in Minnesota and Windy was in Texas. In honor of this, we bring you an episode about moving movies (as in movies about characters who are in the process of changing residence, just like both of us).

Since this was our first go at a recording session via Google Hangouts, we had some challenges with the audio. Windy’s audio improves dramatically after the first few minutes, so please hang in there. Also, there is a computer fan whir that occasionally intrudes, so… sorry about that. We now know what we need to fix for next time.

If you would like to drink along, we recommend Windy’s choice of La Puerta Malbec! (We don’t really recommend Melissa’s choice of Killepitsch, unless you are either insatiably curious or unhealthily fascinated by herbs.)

Here are some screenshots from our recording session!

Episode 77: Corn Is Creepy: Part 1

0077 Stephen King MoviesDear listeners, this week’s episode has finally arrived, and it is part one of a two-parter about Stephen King movies! Even better, for this in-depth and very giddy endeavor, we enlisted the help of comedienne and Stephen King uber-fan, Molly Glover!

If you would like to drink along with us, we highly suggest one or both of these highly thematic wines: Castle Rock Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon and Double Dog Dare Cabernet Sauvignon.

Episode 76: A Bulwark of Artifice and Awesome

0076 1987This week, dear listeners, we welcome back Cetius the Scotchbringer for an episode about the year 1987! He figures that 1987 was a stellar year for fun movies, and we we completely agree.

If you look back at the year 1987 and feel old, we recommend that you drink more Aberlour 16 scotch, because that’s what we did. (And if you’re too young to remember 1987, please wait while I reach for my glass…)
